HARARE – The CEO Africa Roundtable jointly with the Corporate Social Responsibility Network Zimbabwe will host an annual Responsible Business Summit Zimbabwe focusing on CSR and Sustainability from the 21st – 23rd of August 2019 in the resort town of Nyanga.
This international conference on CSR & Sustainability will bring together renowned practitioners from industry, government and academic researchers from Zimbabwe, Africa and the world at large to discuss issues pertaining to corporate social responsibility, sustainability and responsible investment impacting Zimbabwe, Africa and beyond as well as to share strategies and solutions that tackle these issues and show that they’re leading the change to a sustainable future.
Zimbabwe has embarked on an ambitious economic stabilisation programme to stimulate domestic production, exporting, rebuilding and transforming the economy to an Upper Middle-Income status by 2030.
However, it’s now more important than ever that stakeholders come together to confront the economic, social, environmental and political challenges that the southern African nation is facing underpinned by a long-term sustainable development agenda.
Business leaders, government departments and investors ought to come together to drive innovation and scale best practices in sustainable business and finance in pursuit of holistic and lasting solutions which will create a Zimbabwe economy fit for purpose and one that prospers.
The conference will run under the theme “Shaping Sustainable Business towards Vision 2030”
In harmony and compassion with the victims of cyclone idai which wreaked havoc in the greater part of Manicaland the CSR Network Zimbabwe in partnership with the CEO Africa Roundtable supported by CSR Zambia, Malawi and Swaziland have decided to move the hosting of the 3rd Annual Zimbabwe Responsible Business Forum from the Victoria Falls to the Resort Town of Nyanga.
