CSR Network Zimbabwe holds a Charity fun run

HARARE - The CSR Network Zimbabwe last week held successfully a fundraising Charity fun run which was graced by more 100 athletes who graced the rainy morning for a good cause. CSRNZ held the event to raise funds and resources to support the less privileged school children in Zimbabwe.

HARARE – The CSR Network Zimbabwe last week held successfully a fundraising Charity fun run which was graced by more 100 athletes who graced the rainy morning for a good cause. CSRNZ held the event to raise funds and resources to support the less privileged school children in Zimbabwe.

The organisation has taken note that most school children are dropping out from school because of lack of basic needs for education. The charity fun run ran under the theme ‘’safeguarding the future of every child’’ .CSR network Zimbabwe also took that opportunity to commemorate the world CSR day which is aimed at appreciating the efforts made by companies in making a healthy CSR ecosystem.

In an interview CSRNZ Director Willard Razawo said it is our collective responsibility to assist e underprivileged to attend school as it their basic right.

The charity fun run was graced by companies like the Nedbank, first capital bank, Alpha Media Holdings, Zimbos Abantu together with volunteer individuals that came to support the noble cause.

The run started at 6am with the 21km race followed by the 10km race then finally the 5km race. MS Lucy Marowa CSRNZ Board Chairperson gave a short speech on what CSR network Zimbabwe is all about and highlighted why it was important to host such events for the betterment of our communities.
