– STAKEHOLDERS meeting at a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Indaba in Victoria Falls have spoken strongly on the need to include policymakers in the crafting of such key programmes.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Indaba underway in Victoria Falls is speaking into issues of how the private sector can come up with a clear framework that includes all stakeholders.
Government expectations are that public-private partnerships will drive the CSR vision towards Vision 2030.
Officially opening the summit virtually this Thursday, Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Professor Paul Mavhima said Corporate Social Responsibility has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic which has put a strain on business operations, hence the need for innovation.
Running under the theme “Responsible Corporate in times of Adversity and Economic Transformation,” the CSR Indaba seeks to ensure the private sector plays a sustainable development role within communities in which companies operate.
High on the agenda are issues such as climate change and public-private partnerships in fighting Covid-19.
