ESG Autumn School 2025: A Resounding Success!

The 5th Annual ESG Autumn School, held from May 20-23, 2025, at the Tamarind Resort in Kariba, was a resounding success! Focused on “Building a Sustainable Future: ESG Capacity Building for Zimbabwean Organizations,” the event provided a platform for participants to deepen their understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and their practical application.

Key Highlights:

  • Engaging Sessions: Participants benefited from expert-led sessions covering a range of critical ESG topics, including climate change and carbon management, sustainable resource management, environmental risk management, green finance and investing, materiality assessment, stakeholder engagement, Health and Safety in the workplace, and ESG reporting and disclosure.
  • Practical Skills Development: The Autumn School equipped attendees with practical tools and strategies to integrate ESG into their business operations, enhancing their ability to manage risks, identify opportunities, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Networking and Collaboration: The event fostered a vibrant environment for networking and collaboration, allowing participants to connect with peers, share experiences, and explore potential partnerships.
  • Inspiration and Innovation: Attendees were inspired to become champions of sustainability within their organizations and to develop innovative solutions to address ESG challenges.
  • Memorable Activities: Attendees enjoyed a sunset cruise and a tour of Kariba.
