As the country grapples to achieve vision 2030 of attaining an upper middle-class economy as well as the United Nations SDG’s. the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and the Corporate Social Responsibility Network Zimbabwe (CSRNZ) will convene a breakfast meeting on 31 March 2020 to discuss where we are as a country in respect of the following UN Sustainable Development Goals,
- Climate action
- Sustainable cities and communities
- Clean water and sanitation
- Affordable clean energy
- Responsible consumption and production
The objectives of the breakfast meeting are as below:
- To challenge companies to be more environmentally responsible
- To show the industry the state of the Zimbabwean environment
- To highlight the impact of business and industry on the environment
- To showcase areas of potential intervention and opportunities
In this regard, the two organisations are inviting stakeholders to participate at this national important event so that we can together find business opportunities presented by the Zimbabwe environment and lasting solutions to the environmental challenges the country is facing.
Some of the expected speakers at this important gathering include the minister of Industry and Commerce and the minister of Environment, water and climate.
Over 100 delegates to be drawn from, Industry, business organisations civic/social groups, development partners among others are expected to grace this occasion.
