Zimbabwe Joins the world to Commemorate World CSR Day

The CSR Network Zimbabwe will lead the nation join the World to Commemorate World CSR Day on February 18.

On the day Zimbabwe will join over 90 countries across the globe in commemorating the World CSR Day. In this regard CSRNZ invites you to observe the CSR DAY as an organisation and our main objective is to create significant awareness among your key stakeholders on how to position CSR in business recovery efforts.

In moments of crisis like the current Covid-19 pandemic, companies quickly shift their attention to survival. This has been evident through-out 2020, and 2021 is no exception. Under these circumstances, businesses are forced to effect extraordinary measures to ensure employee safety and maintain operations, among many other challenges. For some organisations, it may seem misguided to focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) now. But, in fact, there might never be a better time.

In reflecting on 2020, a year that will go on record for its challenges more than opportunities for the communities we operate in, we encourage you to interpret this day in a meaningful way that will impact our local CSR Ecosystem positively. The current wave of the COVID Pandemic will undoubtedly cause significant disruptions in the livelihoods of those in our communities, we encourage you to utilize this day to launch your strategies for the year and beyond.

As part of the festivities the CSRNZ will host a Virtual meeting via Zoom, that will be graced by a host of speakers from several organisations to discuss “The Benefits of CSR to Corporates and Communities“, from 10:00 Hrs to 11:00 Hrs
