HARARE- Zimbabwe National ESG & Sustainability Framework discourse is set to take centre stage at the 10th Annual Zimbabwe Sustainability, ESG and Responsible Business Summit set for 12-15 August at the Golden Peacock Hotel Mutare, Manicaland Province.
This important summit will run under the theme: – “Shaping the Sustainability Narrative: Zimbabwe First, Globally Aligned.”
This comes on the heels of a gradually maturing sustainability and ESG space in Zimbabwe.
ESG Network Zimbabwe Executive Director, Willard Razawo is challenging all stakeholders to participate at this annual conference so that they can have their voice in coming up with a national working framework that is reflective of Zimbabwe.
“Let us come together to Influence the Narrative so that we can collectively Drive the Sustainability Future for Zimbabwe”, Mr Razawo said.
This landmark event brings together leaders, innovators, and stakeholders committed to shaping Zimbabwe’s sustainability agenda. Over the past 5 years, the concept of ESG has become popular in Zimbabwe despite the fact that it has existed in the developed world for over three decades. It is from this background that ESG Network Zimbabwe, which is Zimbabwe’s premier national business member association advancing and championing issues of sustainability, is hosting the 10th annual Zimbabwe sustainability conference focusing on defining and priming the country towards achieving total and inclusive ESG integrity.
Key Objectives
The objectives of the summit are focused on shaping the Zimbabwean ESG and Sustainability Narrative to align with sustainable development.

2. Attract Investment: Position Zimbabwe as a viable destination for sustainable investment by showcasing successful ESG initiatives and projects, thereby attracting both local and international investors committed to sustainability.
3. Strengthen Governance Frameworks: Advocate for improved governance structures that promote accountability and ethical practices in both the public and private sectors, essential for the successful implementation of ESG principles and the creation of long-term impact.
4. Measurement and Reporting: Establish guidelines and frameworks for measuring and reporting on ESG performance, enabling organizations to track progress and enhance transparency in their sustainability efforts.
5. Promote Sustainable Practices: Encourage businesses and government entities to adopt sustainable practices that minimize environmental impact while fostering social equity and economic growth.
