As the country grapples with Covid 19 pandemic fight, the CSR Network Zimbabwe members together with other stakeholder as part of 2021 World CSR Day Commemorations would like to take a lead role in supporting government efforts to curb the spread of the deadly Corona virus which is wreaking havoc across our communities particularly the vulnerable of society.
In this regard we are sincerely inviting your reputed organization to support this noble cause of fighting the spread and effects of COVID-19 by way of mobilizing resources, in particular face masks for onward donation to the most vulnerable communities of Zimbabwe.
The project which will run under the theme, “Responding to the COVID 19 Pandemic “MASK UP ZIMBABWE CAMPAIGN”, is meant to promote the prevention and containment of the Covid 19 pandemic with a particular focus on the elderly, children, women, disabled and other disadvantaged members of our society.
Every year on February 18 over 90 countries across the globe join hands in commemorating World CSR Day a gesture to take a lead in showing the world that CSR is a must do and worthy investment to transform and advance the interests of our communities with a particular focus on the disadvantaged.
In light of the above, CSRNZ members and stakeholders will jointly mobilize resources towards the production of face masks for onward distribution to the less privileged who cannot afford descent face masks to protect themselves. We have observed with concern that as much as it is mandatory in Zimbabwe to mask up the majority of our people are failing to get the masks prompting them to use unimaginable and most often health risk materials just to cover their faces.
This campaign will also see us promoting awareness of wearing of masks as a way of protection rather than to avert arrests from the police. We want to inculcate a habit of masking up voluntarily going forward.
Budgetary estimates – Total USD$45000.00
The CSRNZ is seeking support from your reputed organisations in the form of sponsorship to produce 30 000 masks to distribute to the targeted mentioned above during the course of February as we celebrate World CSR Day from the 18th of February.
