ESGNZ Celebrates women during this women’s month

In celebration of the remarkable contributions and unwavering dedication of women leader, we are proud to profile women achievements, experiences and insights of influential women in Zimbabwe.

This week we Profile Prudence Natsai Muganiwah-Zvavanjanja – Public Relations and Communications Officer at Nyaradzo Group

Prudence Muganiwah-Zvavanjanja is a 38 year old holder of a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree from Rhodes University, with a demonstrated ability to integrate in different cultures and communities, A published author and excellent oral and written communicator who is well-equipped with a working knowledge of public relations management, good journalism, people management, event managing as well as administrative skills, she has in the past 10 years made a career out of developing and managing various brands, handling a number of corporate brands as well as artists such as Jah Prayzah, and consequently improved their equity on the market.

Successfully implemented previously non-existent branding for corporates and artists, rebranding Jah Prayzah’s online presence from 30 000 Facebook followers in 2015 to 310 000 in one year as well as managing his professional image and that of the 3rd Generation Band. Similarly, at Nyaradzo, Prudence is currently on an aggressive drive to restrategize the Public Relations and Communications department of the Nyaradzo Group, handling media partnerships, community sponsorships and donation requests, whilst working closely with the Marketing Department to push the group’s campaigns and promotions as well as maintaining the brand’s image in the corporate world and the media space. Her office is an integral part of the core team behind the inaugural Sahwira Wear and Win Promotion which was launched in June 2021.

To support the Marketing department, Prudence manages local exhibitions such as ZITF, Mine Entra and Agricultural Shows, ensuring coverage on mainstream as well as online platforms. She also handles the group’s productions with media houses such as Shoko naSahwira, In Conversation with Trevor, Friday Night Drinks Show, In Touch with a Legend as well as radio and TV interviews as and when the need arises.

Prudence’s mandate also includes supporting the group’s subsidiaries’ initiatives and events from tree-planting, stakeholder hosting and engagement, attending and representing the group at awards nights, as well as managing senior management’s speeches and the CEO’s desk wherein her function in speech-writing, editing and fact checking is paramount in all the CEO’s initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy and Corporate Affairs, Prudence’s office is responsible for issuing out public statements and also acts as advisory in all matters to do with the group’s public image.
