The Green Indaba 2026 provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to explore practical pathways towards inclusive and sustainable urban development in Zimbabwe. Held under the theme “Powering Inclusive Growth: Communities, Research and Commerce Converging for Sustainable Urban Development,” the event brought together diverse voices committed to shaping a more resilient and sustainable future.
A notable contribution came from Mr. Willard Razawo, Executive Director and Chairman of ESG Network Zimbabwe, who delivered an insightful presentation on “The Role of Community-Led ESG Action for Sustainable Urban Development.”
His presentation emphasized the importance of placing communities at the center of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Sustainable development cannot be achieved through policies and institutional commitments alone.
