Delta Beverages Pvt Ltd Masvingo recently donated color-coded bin swings and bin liners which were handed over to the Masvingo Municipality.
The hand-over-take-over ceremony was done on the day of the National clean up campaign where the company also participated in the cleaning up of Masvingo CBD streets.
In an appreciation letter to Delta beverages, the Masvingo town clerk Eng. E Mukaratirwa wrote:
“The city of Masvingo would like to express its profound gratitude to your organization for the items donated towards the National Clean Up. We are looking forward to your continued support.”
Delta took their traders from their community to Flamboyant hotel where they taught them about environmental stewardship.
Environmental Management Agency which is a statutory body responsible for ensuring the sustainable management of natural resources and protection of the environment, was invited by Delta to address traders on issues of environment.
In 2018, President Emmerson Mnangagwa declared the first Friday of every month as a National Clean Up Day and this has seen many companies being active in donating materials like bins to make sure they take the lead in environmental stewardship campaigns as well as participating in the clean up to ensure a clean community or environment around them.
