The Matabeleland Provinces Regional CSR, ESG and Responsible Business Achievement Awards 2026 successfully celebrated over 30 organisations and individuals contributing to sustainable development and responsible business practices across the region.
Held on 25 September 2026 at Rainbow Hotel Bulawayo, the awards were hosted under the theme, “Driving Devolution, Empowering Communities towards achieving Vision 2030: Celebrating Sustainability Excellence in Matabeleland Province.”
The event provided an important platform for recognising achievements in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and responsible business, while encouraging organisations to deepen their contribution to communities and Zimbabwe’s broader development aspirations.
The programme featured an opening prayer, welcome remarks and an awards ceremony address by ESG Network Zimbabwe Executive Director, Mr Willard Razawo, followed by a keynote address from the Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Hon. Minister R. Modi. The evening culminated in the presentation of awards and a networking gala dinner.
With over 100 participants in attendance, the event created an opportunity for business leaders, professionals and other stakeholders to connect, share experiences and celebrate sustainability achievements within Matabeleland.
The successful conclusion of the Matabeleland awards has also set the stage for the next major milestone on the ESG Network Zimbabwe calendar — the 10th Annual CSR, ESG & Responsible Business Awards, scheduled for November 2026.
Preparations for the national awards are already underway, with stakeholders invited to nominate individuals and organisations demonstrating outstanding commitment, innovation and impact in CSR, ESG and responsible business.
The upcoming awards will once again provide a platform to shine a spotlight on those helping to shape a more sustainable, responsible and inclusive business environment in Zimbabwe.
Nominations are now open, and stakeholders are encouraged to identify and nominate individuals and organisations whose work is making a meaningful difference in their organisations, communities and sectors.
