CSR Network Zim Annual Autumn School Set for May

HARARE – Organizations have the power to change the world in innumerable ways, especially now with the COVID-19 pandemic, our society needs change makers who stimulate sustainability and social responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability issues are gaining momentum globally as companies are not only reducing their impact on the environment, but seizing an opportunity to increase their business profiles. The financial success of a company is inseparable from the communities and environments within which they operate. The failure to account for longer-term social and environmental impact makes business practices unsustainable.

In this regard CSR Network Zimbabwe will be hosting an annual Autumn School with the objective of providing participants with a practical introduction to the concept of CSR and the benefits of CSR to a business. The school is anticipated to nurture and enable participants to gain skills and build knowledge that will ultimately enable them to contribute towards integrating sustainability and CSR approaches in their organisations and to benefit Zimbabwe at large. Additionally, this school emphasizes the significance of innovative social and sustainable approaches, particularly as it relates to how organisations can persevere during an economic slowdown.

Workshop Objectives

  • The objective of this school is to strengthen the understanding and application of sustainability and CSR, allowing participants to better integrate it in their work.
  • At the end participants will acquire a solid grasp of sustainability / CSR trends & developments, a quick scan of the most important standards and inspiring case studies;
