Padenga Holdings in conjunction with Ministry of Transport and National Parks as part of their CSR initiatives has commenced the annual grass cutting and brush clearing along the road verges between Makuti and Kariba. Work started at the beginning of February and they expect to finish middle of March 2022.
Padenga Holdings has been busy to do the following in its quest to reduce road carnage in the area where they operate from (Kariba)-:
- Cautionary signs at both Makuti and Kariba reminding road users of grass cutting in progress.
- Cautionary signs in the immediate proximity of the maintenance team.
- Road users should expect multiple tractors and maintenance vehicles in operation along this stretch of road.
- Road users are to note and pay attention to cautionary signs, speed and traffic controllers.
- All staff and vehicles will take appropriate safety precautions as far as signaling and visibility.
- Until cut the road remains dangerous with tall overhanging grass, poor visibility and blind corners.
Padenga Holdings must be commended for their efforts.
