3rd Annual Responsible Business Summit Zimbabwe

It’s now more important than ever that businesses lead the way to a sustainable future.

Plastic waste, investor fit ESG disclosures, transitioning to a circular economy and decarbonization are just some of the key issues that businesses need to address to ensure they have a place in a sustainable economy.

The environmental threats facing the planet are unprecedented, and it’s up to business to provide the blueprint for innovations which will create a global economy fit for purpose and one that prospers.

In this Regard, The Corporate Social Responsibility Network Zimbabwe jointly with the CEO Roundtable Africa and in partnership with, CSR Zambia, CSR Malawi, CSR Swaziland and the Business Council For Sustainable Development Zimbabwe (BCSDZ) invites government, the mining, agriculture, retail, academic, financial, research institutions and other stakeholders to the 3nd Edition of the Zimbabwe International Responsible Business Summit from the 22nd to the 24th of May 2019.

This international conference on CSR & Sustainability will bring together renowned practitioners from industry, government and academic researchers from Zimbabwe, Africa and beyond to discuss issues pertaining to corporate social responsibility, sustainability and responsible investment impacting Zimbabwe, Africa and beyond as well as to share strategies and solutions that tackle these issues and show that they’re leading the change to a sustainable future.

Proposed Topics and Themes will include issues surrounding the following:

      • Role of ICTs in conducting Responsible and sustainable business in Zimbabwe/Impact of digitalization on CSR & Sustainability-Potraz/Ministry of ICTs
      • CEO as a corporate CSI Activist-The role of the Board in CSR & Sustainability
      • ESG & Investors- Investors are critical to helping accelerate the responsible business agenda. But what do investors really want? How can companies improve their disclosures and engagement on ESG information?
      • CEOs Call to Action panel discussions to explore Leadership models and how practical Engagement towards the future of the planet will be key in achieving successful sustainable business
